Workplace first aid requirements

In Oklahoma, workplace first aid is governed by Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (federal, 29 U.S.C. § 651 et seq.); for the public sector, Oklahoma Occupational Health and Safety Standards Act (40 O.S. § 401 et seq.), administered by Federal OSHA for the private sector (no approved private-sector State Plan). Public employees are covered by Public Employees Occupational Safety and Health (PEOSH), Oklahoma Department of Labor. Employers must ensure a trained first aider is available at all times.
